Basic coated electrode, standard E 7018, designed for very good quality assemblies with mechanical characteristics. BÖHLER FOX EV 50 can be used for applications in an acidic gas medium and allows good weldability in any position except in downward vertical.

Available in several diameters: 2.5 x 350 mm, 3.2 x 350 mm, 4 x 450 mm and 5 x 450 mm. Packaging in vacuum bag which avoids the absorption of humidity and allows the use of all the electrodes.

The BÖHLER FOX EV 50 is suitable for welding low purity and high carbon steels. The electrode can be used in metal construction in the manufacture of boilers and tanks and in automotive and shipbuilding.

The FOX EV 50 is particularly suitable for Offshor construction.

Characteristics :

- Good tensile strength and toughness down to -50 °C.

- Low diffusible hydrogen content of the deposited metal (HD <4ml / 100g under AWS conditions).

- Electrode CTOD tested at -10 °C.
