A hybrid design for maximum protection and lasting comfort

This jacket is based on intelligent dual-material design. It combines RHT-treated split leather on the front areas and arms (the most exposed to spatter) with a back made of Proban® treated cotton, flame-retardant.

This "Hybrid" architecture effectively protects your torso and arms against sparks while allowing body heat to escape through the back. You benefit from a garment that is significantly lighter and more breathable than a 100% leather jacket, without sacrificing a single millimeter of safety.

RHT technology: leather that remains flexible despite heat

The main enemy of welder’s leather is hardening. Under the effect of intense heat cycles, the leather fibers shrink and harden, making the garment uncomfortable and brittle. EDC Protection’s exclusive RHT treatment (High Temperature Resistance) prevents this hardening phenomenon. Your jacket retains its initial flexibility wash after wash and use after use, considerably increasing its lifespan and cost-effectiveness.

For unfailing structural strength, the entire garment is assembled with Kevlar® thread. This high-performance thread resists cuts and flames, ensuring that your seams never fail, even under significant thermal stress.

• Spatter sealing: The central snap-button closure is protected by a cover flap to prevent sparks from entering.

• Neck protection: The straight collar is made of water-repellent full-grain leather, offering softer contact with the skin while blocking molten metal entry thanks to its hook-and-loop adjustment.

• Glove adjustment: The cuffs have hook-and-loop tightening tabs to perfectly seal the junction with your sleeves or protective gloves.

Compliant with the EN ISO 11611 A1 Class 1 standard, this equipment guarantees certified protection for manual welding techniques with light formation of spatter and droplets.
