The CARBO 4316 AC electrode with rutile coating and alloyed core is weldable with alternating current and suitable for joining CrNi stainless steels with low carbon content, as well as stabilized and non-stabilized grades of similar composition resistant to chemical attacks. When applied to steels of similar composition, the deposited alloy can withstand wet corrosion up to 350°C. It is also resistant to oxidation in air and oxidizing gases up to 875°C. Its low carbon content eliminates the risk of intergranular corrosion. The deposited metal is suitable for mirror polishing.
