Argweld® PMUC Water-Soluble Purging Film — 20 × 1 m Kit
Argweld® PMUC water-soluble purging film is intended for use in the nuclear sector. It creates a temporary gas-tight barrier inside a pipe to limit the volume to be purged. It provides a solution when installing an inflatable purging system is impossible or impractical.
A More Clearly Defined Purging Volume
The barrier formed by the film and its adhesive isolates the area to be purged. It helps limit gas loss and concentrate shielding gas around the welding zone.
Suited to Difficult-Access Configurations
The film can be cut to fit the pipe. This solution simplifies preparation in complex configurations where a conventional purging device cannot easily be installed.
Dissolves in Water Without Leaving Fibres
The film dissolves completely in water down to the molecular level. It leaves no fibres that could remain in the pipe network or obstruct sensitive components.
Transparent and Moisture-Resistant
Transparency makes positioning and visual inspection inside the pipe easier. The film maintains good stability and adhesion to the pipe walls in damp environments.
