Versatile MIG/MAG Welding
GYS SMARTMIG 162 MIG/MAG Welder
The SMARTMIG 162 combines gas-shielded MIG/MAG and gasless steel welding with the appropriate kit in a mobile unit powered by a single-phase 230 V, 16 A supply. Its 30 to 160 A range is designed for non-intensive work on steel, stainless steel and aluminium sheets and sections.
Gas-Shielded or Gasless
The welder accepts 0.6 to 1 mm steel and stainless steel wire. Welding aluminium with 0.8 or 1 mm wire and steel with 0.9 or 1.2 mm flux-cored wire requires suitable consumables.
SMART Settings
The built-in chart helps users select one of the 4 power levels and the appropriate wire feed speed according to the material, wire diameter and sheet thickness.
Consistent Wire Feed
The 2-roll wire feeder accepts 100 mm spools up to 1 kg and 200 mm spools up to 5 kg. The removable EURO torch simplifies maintenance and transport.
For Non-Intensive Use
At 40 °C, the duty cycle reaches 115 A at 20%, 70 A at 60% and 60 A at 100%. Continuous fan cooling and thermal protection help prevent overheating.
