Taurus XQ 405 Basic D Welder — 400 A
The Taurus XQ 405 Basic D offers a current range of 5 to 400 A for MIG/MAG, MMA, TIG and gouging. Manual adjustment keeps you in control of the parameters, with arc stability suited to work using long welding cable assemblies.
Control over Your Settings
Manually adjust the operating point and arc dynamics to suit the application. Adjustable start and end crater functions allow you to tailor these stages of the welding cycle.
Performance for Sustained Work
At 40 °C, the duty cycle reaches 400 A at 60% and 350 A at 100%. Inverter technology provides 90% efficiency, complemented by a standby function to reduce idle power consumption.
Choice of Cooling Configuration
The power source can be used with a gas-cooled torch or a water-cooled torch using the optional cool50 cooling unit. The cooler is powered directly by the power source, without an additional mains connection.
Workshop-Ready Equipment
Polarity can be changed without tools. The welder features IP23 protection, an insulated wire compartment and connections for a remote control or an up/down control torch.
